Fully Insulated Cable Connection Systems
Cooper Power Systems' insulated connector product line provides maximum flexibility
and functionality for underground high-voltage distribution systems. The connector system
provides full insulated and grounded devices for splicing and connecting underground
cables to equipment and establishing multiple junction points. The product provides a high
level of safety and allows easy disconnecting and grounding of cables for equipment
maintenance or change out. Connector systems are rated either 200 amperes or 600 amperes,
with each current rating having components rated at 15 kV, 25 kV, and 35 kV.

Loadbreak Elbows
A Cooper loadbreak elbow terminates and switches underground cable. It is operated by a
shotgun stick and is an insulated and shielded visible break connection. 200A loadbreak
elbows are available at 15, 25, and 35kV classes.

Bushings and Inserts
Cooper Power Systems has a full line of one piece bushings, bushing wells, bushing well
inserts, and feed-thru inserts for installation on transformers and/or sectionalizing
cabinets. The 15kV and 25kV class bushing inserts use a knurled piston providing maximum
copper-to-copper current transfer, maximum thermal stability, and after fault close
operation it locks the piston in the outward position, providing a visible indication
against dangerous repetitive fault closure. The ratchet-style base on the 15 and 25kV
Rotatable Feedthru Insert simplifies installation and assures positive connection.

Portable Standoff and Feedthru Inserts
A variety of standoff insulators and portable feedthrus are available for mounting onto the
parking stands on a transformer and/or sectionalizing cabinet. 200 A (15, 25, and 35kV
class) and 600 A (15, 25, and 35kV class) standoff insulators are available.

Junctions
A wide variety of junctions for 200A loadbreak and 600A/900A deadbreak applications are available for use in pad-mounted apparatus, underground vaults and other installations to establish loops, taps, and splices. Junctions are available with bushings/bushing wells that are inline or in stacked configurations, as well as with bushings/bushing wells in multiple planes - in L and Y configurations. Junctions are available with both 200 A bushing wells and 600 A/900 A bushings included within the same junctions.

Splices
Cooper Power Systems splices are workable, durable and dependable in addition to
being easier to assemble onto cable. 200 A one piece splices at 15, 25, and 35kV class
and 600 A multi-piece and separable splices are available. Also, L and Y splices are available in single and three phase configurations, providing a broad variety of options for splicing of multiple cables.

T-OP II Connector System
T-OP II 600 A connector system features a foolproof loadbreak reducing tap plug (LRTP)
assembly, is easily field retrofitted, and can be installed and operated by one man.
T-OP II is available in 15, 25, and 35kV classes.

PUSH-OP® Connector System
The 600 A 15, 25, and 35kV class PUSH-OP deadbreak connector is used to terminate
high-voltage underground cable to transformers, switches, switchgear and other apparatus.
It is fully shielded, submersible and meets the requirements of IEEE Standard
386-Separable Insulated Connector Systems (except for apparatus-terminator connection
dimensions). PUSH-OP® offers a totally threadless deadbreak, hotstick operable connection
system with a unique 600 A rated, plated copper probe and mating PUSH-OP bushing utilizing
a copper plated finger contact system.

U-OP Connector System
The U-OP connector system was designed with safety in mind. Safety
in a 600 A connector system requires that you be able to easily achieve
a visible break and visible ground before beginning repair work on
underground cable. Maximum safety requires that the visible ground be
in place while the visible break is achieved. The U-OP connector
satisfies these requirements without having to move heavy 600 A
underground cable.
